Cambridge Garden Services
Cambridge Garden Services is a well established garden company based in Cambridge with a great reputation built up over many years. We pride ourselves on our commitment to provide a professional and speedy service whilst making sure we maintain the highest quality of work. We believe that the garden needs to be not only an extension of the house, an "outdoor room", a space whose potential is fully realised, but also a place that offers a relaxing and inspirational environment.

The olive tree, Olea europaea is instantly recognisable as the quintessential Mediterranean tree and stands as the archetypal sentinel of warm, sunny climes. It is then perhaps surprising. How to grow mangoes? Although mango trees grow very large outside in the tropics, they can be grown as smaller plants in pots, or even as houseplants when they are young.

Carry on with pruning apple and pear trees, red and white currants and gooseberries. Keep the centre of the tree or bush open to let in the maximum amount of light and to allow air to circulate freely.

Wood is also an environmentally friendly, natural material and is also easy to repair.
Fence post repair - using wooden posts 3x3 or 4x4 or we can attach a concrete spur to the broken post using cement, coach screws and washers to help the post last longer than wood.

Well established hedges require trimming or gentle pruning to keep them dense and compact.
There is no need for the width of even vigorous hedges to exceed (2ft) if they are regularly trimmed.
A more formal hedge should be slightly tapered on both sides so that the base is wider than the top and light can reach the bottom of the hedge.
This is known as cutting the hedge to a batter.
Small shrubs like lavender and heathers are generally short-lived and will need replacing after 10 years.
These shrubs flower on new wood so it is best to prune them on an annual basis as this will improve the flowering and extend their lifetime.
