YGS Landscapes are looking for a Landscaping and Horticulture apprentice! Gaining experience across the board, this is an L2 apprenticeship with Bicton College.
A Landscaping & Horticulture apprenticeship offers experience in soft landscaping, grounds maintenance. As the flagship project of The Road to Mayflower, a brand new landscape design has been delivered to revitalise Marsh Mills Roundabout as a green gateway that transforms visitors' arrival experience as well as delivering significant environmental benefits.
In autumn 2015, YGS were approached by Lavigne Lonsdale to discuss an interesting project. During the meeting, we were told about the bund and our challenge was to ensure this wasn't an eyesore BUT a feature of the project.indeed the vision was to make it a symbolic talking point of the development for years to come.

Steve Warren-Brown, founder & current MD of the company, originally traded out of Brixton, Devon, as Yealm Gardening Services until, in 1997, he moved the company to their current premises in Plympton.
Our management team has over 75 years experience in all aspects of landscaping and we have a further 45 years experience within our supervisors.
Our services include all aspects of commercial landscaping, fencing, decking, grounds maintenance and tree care; with all teams delivering a service to our expected high standards.

Steve has over 35 years experience of working in the landscaping industry and therefore has a wealth of knowledge and experience of managing and delivering high profile landscaping contracts.
Steve is also an avid rugby fan and a proud supporter and sponsor to Plymouth Albion.
Nick, until recently, was the Parks Manager for Plymouth City Council.
He has 38 years of experience in managing and delivering landscape & maintenance contracts.
Steve has over 35 years experience of working in the landscaping industry and therefore has a wealth of knowledge and experience of managing and delivering high profile landscaping contracts.

Employee of the Month YGS Landscapes are thrilled to award Alex Peyton-Jones with September's Employee of the Mo.
With our Arboriculture team YGS Landscapes are able to meet all your tree and woodland requirements both for Commercial and residential clients.
We have experience in all aspect of tree surgery from felling and pruning to stump removal or vegetation clearance.
All of our staff are trained to an industry approved level and all of our machinery is regular serviced and inspected.
Prior to use by the operative, and as part of our Health & Safety procedure, all machines are inspected.
This allows all our tree works to be fully insured.
We have experience in all aspect of tree surgery from felling and pruning to stump removal or vegetation clearance.
All of our staff are trained to an industry approved level and all of our machinery is regular serviced and inspected.
Prior to use by the operative, and as part of our Health & Safety procedure, all machines are inspected.

Various issues existed with this site but the main concern for the client was the boundary retaining wall, which dominated the garden.
We came up with the idea, in light of the properties position, of using faux beach huts to break up the length and height of the wall and to add a bit of fun!
These were manufactured at a local sawmill and delivered ready for erection.
Low maintenance was incredibly important due to the client's end users, being predominantly retired.
It was decided therefore, that synthetic turf was the way ahead and it achieved very dramatic results.
We came up with the idea, in light of the properties position, of using faux beach huts to break up the length and height of the wall and to add a bit of fun!
