Tw1 Gardening
TW1 Gardening was founded in 2014 by Jan Choudhury who has lived in London all her life, and in East Twickenham for over 19 years. Prior to setting up the company, Jan worked at The Palm Centre in Ham. Alongside this she was hired by several well-established local garden businesses to help soft-landscape and maintain mid- to large-sized gardens in west and southwest London.

Jan studied horticulture at Capel Manor which has an international reputation for training horticulturalists, arboriculturalists and garden designers. Alumni have gone on to create show gardens at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and to present BBC Gardener's World amongst many other horticultural achievements. Alison's special areas of interest are perennials and propagation.

She holds regular plant sales in West London and fits this around working on her own allotment. Formerly an HR practitioner, Alison has run school gardening clubs and can regularly be found at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, engaging visitors in the seasonal delights of the gardens (when guided walks are permitted again).
Services
You love your garden so you already know that there's more to it than mowing the lawn and raking up leaves in autumn.
As important as these tasks are (and we love getting stuck in, even with raking), TW1 Gardening also offers expert help with all other garden tasks.
Need someone to help steer your garden in the right direction and keep it looking beautiful?
Then we'd be happy to help.
You can choose to have as little or as much involvement as takes your fancy.
The important thing is that your garden will be in expert hands, giving you more time to relax, or tackle other jobs around the house!
We have just finished building work and the garden needs a lot of attention - can you help?.
Why should I choose a qualified gardener?
Choosing a gardener is probably the most important decision you will make in your garden.
Beautiful gardens are no accident of nature - a precise combination of technical knowledge and creative input is required to create that special magic found only in a stunning garden.
Each garden is physically different - soil, wind exposure, amount of water and sunlight all play a role in determining what will and won't thrive in your garden.
Prices for garden services are listed below.
We like to be completely transparent about fees so you can see how much our services will cost you.
Team of RHS qualified gardeners coming to your garden on a regular basis usually from February to December.
All prices are subject to a site visit if you have not used us before.
If you require irregular visits we strongly recommend we agree a rough schedule so that we can keep a slot for you - at busy times our waiting list can be up to 4 months long.
TW1 Gardening operates in south west London providing outstanding care for a variety of residential gardens in the Twickenham & Richmond area.
All our gardens are lived-in family homes and we have a genuine connection with our clients who look forward to our visits.
We work in lovely private residential gardens - no blocks of flats or grounds maintenance work.
We have clients who care that we offer expert horticultural services, they are not looking for 'mow and blow'.
We work on a wide variety of homes, everything from small courtyards to half an acre sites, with a wonderful range of plants, providing regular visits to one-off planting designs that are unique to each garden, rather than 'off-the-shelf' plans.
RHS Certificate in the Principles of Horticulture Level 2 - all 8 subjects passed with distinction (commendation).
Every aspect of the garden services provided by TW1 Gardening is based on tried and tested horticultural practices.
Regular site visits to see how world-class spaces such as RHS Wisley plant and maintain their gardens.
Plant and garden research at RHS Chelsea Flower Show to gain knowledge from the world's leading plantsmen and women and premier horticulturalists.
Regular reading of garden literature such as RHS The Garden to keep abreast of the latest plant cultivars, treatment of pests and diseases and guidance on garden technique for specific tasks.
