Jill Brown is a highly qualified garden designer with 25 years experience in garden design, horticulture and soft and hard landscaping. While artistic design, enhancing views and the creation of 'inviting' and relaxing garden spaces is a key part of the design process, Jill's ecological training also makes her ideally suited to advise on native and wildlife-friendly planting.
You can use Jill's design and advice service and implement the ideas and plans yourself, or following initial design, Jill can bring her experienced team of landscapers on-site with her to transform your garden.

Services
The Design Process usually begins with a phone call followed by an on-site consultation to discuss your requirements for the garden.
At this point it's potential is assessed and an estimate of costs can be made.
Occasionally, ideas for a transformation become immediately apparent and initial rough sketches can be made during the first visit before being enhanced and fine tuned back at the office.
Alternatively, a longer design process may be required involving more detailed drawings and off-site work.

I have an Honours degree in Botany and post-graduate training in landscape building, horticulture and garden design, leading to the National Certificate in Horticulture (Landscape).
I qualified in 1991, receiving the award for 'best student' in the process.
The landscape course included the theory and practice of building works.
I am also qualified in arboriculture and tree surgery.
Since training I have had 25 years' experience transforming gardens.
Seeing my projects mature over this time has given me enormous satisfaction, and inspires me to look for hidden potential in every new garden I design.
