A design fee varies in line with the size of the garden and the complexity of the requirements.
But generally a total fee for a complete design service will fall somewhere within a 5 -12% range of total project costs (see below for total costs guide).
Total project costs, including construction and planting depends on a number of factors - the size of the garden, the complexity of required works, the size of plants, choice of materials and so on.
For a realistic idea of budget, you can reckon on investing about 4% upwards of your current house value into a good quality development of your garden.
Designing a garden starts with imagination and ideas, combined with key practical knowledge.
Initially, a first meeting is arranged at no obligation to talk through possibilities whilst taking a look at the garden.
Our first meeting is followed soon after by a general site survey and another meeting to gather more information about your preferences.
With the survey and a clear design brief we can start work on a design concept, which with further input will fit your needs as near exactly as possible.
Making the right plant choices means that your garden can look good all year round.
Plants suited to aspect and soil will grow and mature beautifully, plus there is much less work required to keep the garden at its best.
Sometimes a fresh planting scheme for just one area can be enough to give a garden a lift.
For advice on planting why not book a Garden Consultation?
A comprehensive planting plan specially drawn and fully annotated, contains all the information used for positioning a new planting scheme.
Expert Garden Design Consultation for Gardens in Somerset is good value.
This offers key advice, ideas and suggestions relevant to your specific needs.
Your Garden Design Consultation cost is deducted from a design fee whenever you decide to go ahead.
Please contact Greenspace to book a Garden Design Consultation and to briefly outline your garden requirements.
A Consultation lasts for 2 hours, starting from just 75.
For larger garden projects you may benefit from a longer meeting of 3 to 4 hours, 120 - 150.
