Outdoor spaces should not only look pleasing, but ultimately function as an extension of the home. We believe in a way of living that celebrates and thrives in the outdoors. We design gardens that complement our clients' lifestyles. You might desire a firepit to huddle around with friends, a natural environment for children to play or a designated braai to cook up steaks and pizza with the family.
We want you to embrace spending time outdoors, all year round. Our packages vary depending on your specification, the garden's size, accessibility and ground conditions. Take a look at our portfolio to understand our style. We enjoy and are experienced in bringing the cultivated and the wild together. We believe that gardens should resonate with their natural surroundings, be it an urban, coastal or rural setting.
We offer a full garden design service, which includes overseeing the garden's build to check it is built to our specification. All of our clients are united in their desire to enhance their lifestyle by spending more time outdoors.

Services
With the vision to create outdoor spaces that enhance peoples' lives and transform their relationship with the outdoors, Becca Duncan founded Blossoming Gardens Garden Design in 2012.
In the last decade, we've worked across the UK and developed an extensive portfolio of urban and rural gardens.
Each garden is completely unique, but united in its sustainable development that seeks to nurture and protect our environment.
Our business name is inspired by our mission-to create gardens that mature, develop and settle into the environment in a healthy, beautiful way.

We design gardens that enhance your wellbeing and protect our environment.
We will work with you every step of the way to deliver an inspirational and practical garden that reflects your preferences and lifestyle.
During our initial, no-obligation site visit, we will wander around your outdoor space together and discuss ideas for your garden.
Prior to our visit, we ask that you take the time to gather your inspiration, outline your requirements and determine your budget.
Developing a clear brief enables us to create a design proposal and quotation that matches your expectations.

The new owners of this property wanted a garden redesign to make the most of the awkward shaped space.
It was considerably smaller than their old garden, so every inch of space counted.
This design created the illusion that this space was bigger than it actually is.
It is divided into separate 'rooms' using Scottish larch frames, that will be draped with climbing roses.
The owners can sit or potter in the different spaces at different times of the day.
We wrapped a contemporary pool with irises and water lilies around the new patio.

This charming fishing cottage had just been renovated and a garden building had been constructed.
The clients were looking to create a coastal garden that would complement their new property and enhance their lifestyle.
We took inspiration from the surrounding environment when designing this garden.
As the garden sloped down steeply at one side, we constructed a gabion wall, to create two separate outdoor spaces.
This was similar to the wall down by the harbour.
On the lower terrace we built a large L-shaped bench and table next to an outdoor wood burning stove.

The garden owners in this quiet East Lothian village had recently retired and were looking to create a cottage garden.
With their love of gardening and the outdoor life, they were keen to make the most of their outside space.
They recently built a garden studio at the end of their garden for painting and enjoying a glass of wine.
However, a large rambling rose was taking over the garden and the planting was becoming overgrown.
The vegetable beds were also in the shade and so not as productive as they might have been.
