If you're considering improving your garden, you might like to know that a well designed garden can add significant value to your home but perhaps even more importantly, being in a beautiful garden has been proven to reduce stress - with our current hectic lifestyles this has never been more important. With a background in fine art and maths, Amanda's designs combine a beautiful, natural aesthetic with a very practical application so that spaces work functionally and intuitively.
Her clients include private individuals, developers and architects, and while most projects are medium to large country gardens, she also undertakes the renovation of historic gardens, design of small town gardens and one-off projects such as swimming pools.
From her office within Parham Park in West Sussex, Amanda offers a complete garden design service including masterplans, planting design, planning permissions and listed building consents, detailed construction drawings and specifications, draingage solutions, lighting and project monitoring.

Services
I founded Amanda Patton Landscape & Garden Design at the beginning of 2000 as a natural progression from 20 or so years as a professional illustrator following a degree in Textile Design (nurturing in me an appreciation of colour, touch and texture).
Initially I worked in archaeology (I worked with all of Time Team before they were famous!) but I soon started illustrating gardening books as well as my interest in the subject developed.
I've illustrated about 80 books in total, including all but one of Alan Titchmarsh's gardening titles.
