Teresa Potter Garden & Landscape Design is 20 this year! We are very happy to announce that in 2019 we will be celebrating 20 years in business, a huge 'Thank You' to all our clients past, present and future as without you we could not have made this acheivement. Teresa is extremely proud to be one of the National and North West Regional Judges for the Royal Horticultural Society's RHS Britain in Bloom campaign.
Entrants for 2019 will see their awards announced in London in October. From the smallest courtyard to the horizon, a section of our clients gardens both large and small.

Designer - Teresa Potter is a life long gardener turned garden designer.
Horticulture has been her interest since the age of 3 and chosen career since leaving school.
From working at a market garden centre producing mixed crops of fruit, vegetables, trees, shrubs and bedding she left school to attend Lackham Agricultural College, moving on to Merrist Wood Agricultural College and finally Askham Bryan Agricultural college where she studied Garden Design.

Gardens are important spaces for both our relaxation and food production as well as providing a refuge for wildlife; organic growing is safe for you, your family and the environment.
By using organic methods for your garden, allotment, lawn and flower beds as well as for your fruit and veg, you can 'grow your own' free from pesticides in healthy soil maintained with compost from recycled materials.
Teresa brings the experience and knowledge gained throughout her career to each project.
Her work as consultant to Northcote's Michelin starred Chef Nigel Haworth and their Head gardener over the past five years is just as relevant for the demands of a commercial kitchen as it is for your kitchen and garden.

The way we use our gardens has changed with the architecture of our homes.
In homes that have a glazed wall the garden is invited in.
In this case it is often the success of the exterior design that makes the interior design work.
The designer client relationship is especially important when it comes to finding the character and identity of the outdoor space as this must reflect the personality of the client in order for both areas to work together.

As garden design professionals we often forget that we have developed an ability to see the 'un-built' garden.
In some garden design presentations, designers can gloss over important details of the design because the designer assumes the client shares the same vision.
Our specialised 3D garden design visualisation service has already helped many of our clients see what our designers see.
As our client we work closely with you to ensure that no detail is missed and, if you see something you are not happy with, we can change this in the design stages resulting in you getting your dream garden with no upsetting surprises and avoiding any unexpected costs.

Berries, currants and grapes will all grow in a spot of Lancashire sunshine if you provide the right conditions and carefully select the variety best suited to cooler temperatures.
Many catalogues highlight varieties able to cope with less than perfect growing conditions, making a successful choice much easier.
There are many opportunities to incorporate your favourite berry bearing plant into the garden.
Alpine strawberries can be used as an edging to a border or grown in a wall basket.
They readily produce runners so it is easy to increase stocks without having to purchase further plants.
