Compass and Clippers was formed in early 2001 by a small team of like-minded designers and craftsmen with the aim of creating attractive, practical and affordable gardens for our clients. All of our designers traine at Sparsholt College in Hampshire and our craftsmen come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We are based in Bramley near Basingstoke and work within an approximate 20mile radius of our base, which takes in all of Basingstoke and the surrounding villages.

We will work closely with you throughout the design and building process, listening to your ideas and advising on costs, hard landscaping materials, planting schemes, and the practicalities of various design options. This is to ensure the finished result is what you desire and is a garden both you and we can be proud of. Of course we don't just do designs and makeovers.

We undertake most aspects of garden landscaping. So if you just want a new patio laid, a problem corner sorted out, or a new planting scheme for a border, we can probably help.
Services
New Patios and Paving: We will design a patio or paving area, large or small, using slabs of your choice, or something chosen from the extensive range of paving that we can supply.
We will advise on materials that are sympathetic to, and compliment your buildings and surroundings.
Our patios are laid on a firm foundation to ensure a level even surface and to prevent movement of the paving over time.
Existing Patios and Paving: If you have an existing patio or paving area that needs extending.
Decking: Made from good quality protected timber our decking can enhance your garden and outdoor living space.
Your initial consultation with Compass and Clippers is FREE of charge and allows you to discuss your requirements and needs with our designer.
We recommend that before the consultation you write down the ideas and preferences that you may have for your garden.
These may include colour scheme, if you would like a patio, terrace, decking, arches, water feature, lighting in your garden and of course a garden shed!
Two other important factors will be the budget you have available and how much time you have for the maintenance of your garden.
Our latest project, a small garden on a new estate, which consisted of a rectangular lawn with a shed at.
Gazebos, Arches and Pergolas: Made from quality wood, a gazebo, arch or pergola will add height and be a wonderful feature to your garden.
Growing climbing plants over them will add more colour and interest.
Garden Offices: From a beautiful oak framed garden office, to a bespoke soundproof studio, your garden office can provide you with that much needed extra space.
