I PASSIONATELY BELIEVE a well-designed garden is one that looks harmonious with its surroundings. Working with both the natural environment, style of house as well as the wider landscape, I interpret my clients' wishes to ensure the gardens I create are not just visually stunning but look as if they were always meant to be there. Using a fusion of both ornamental and natural planting, my designs encourage wildlife into the garden to create a vibrant haven for all and a feast for the senses.

Delightful perennial wildflower meadow, pond, wisteria covered pergola and mixed borders packed full of unusual specimens with year-round interest and colour. Designed, built and maintained for free by Kristina Clode Garden Design, with the help of school volunteers, this is a floriferous, drought tolerant, wildlife friendly gravel garden which is never watered.

It's a feast for the senses with lots of scented plants, different textures, dynamic changes in plant height over the seasons and glorious colour!
Services
As a garden designer in East Sussex I've been fortunate to work on a variety of projects in the past few years from city courtyards to large family gardens, tricky sloping sites and even two sensory gardens for schools.
Each one brought its own unique challenges but with my creative vision and lots of hard work, I'm proud to say that my clients have been thrilled with the results.
So whether yours is a small, scrubby backyard or several acres of lush rolling countryside, I'd be delighted to take a look and give you a quote.
A design for a whole garden with a survey, layout plan, setting out & construction plans and planting plans.
Kristina can also offer annual (or more regular) visits to monitor the garden's progress and maintain the integrity of the design over time.
Planting Plan fees are variable depending on the size of the planting bed(s), the location of the garden and the level of service required.
All advice given at these on-site consultations will be verbal with a brief follow-up email detailing important points as agreed at the meeting.
It all begins with an on-site visit by Kristina to discuss your requirements, explore your ideas and 'wish list', identify your needs and establish a budget.
Kristina will get a general feel for your garden, its terrain, setting and current layout.
Following this meeting you will receive a written copy of the Design Brief composed by Kristina based on the information attained during the consultation, plus a Proposal for the cost of the design and contract to sign and return to proceed with the project.
I highly recommend Kristina.
Our garden was a blank canvas when she started with a few challenging aspects such as a nearby footpath and an electricity pole to hide.
She has created a really beautiful garden for us, always taking into account our wishes every step of the way.
Her attention to detail is amazing and her knowledge of design and plants very in depth.
I was also very impressed at how hard she worked, both on the design and on planting up the garden!
She is also a pleasure to work with.
