I have been a keen gardener for 30 years. Thirteen years ago I decided to obtain a professional qualification in garden design, with the intention. Although I have a small, ordinary garden plot in the middle of a modern housing estate, I was delighted when my garden was accepted into the National Gardens Scheme. We had 130 visitors to the garden and made 500 for the NGS cancer charities.

I received some lovely comments about the garden including this one from Pam and Greg who live in Wigan Just to say how much we enjoyed our visit to your garden yesterday. The garden is beautiful, with so much to see and admire - the planting, the various garden ornaments, the water features, the snail shells used as cane caps (a clever idea which we shall copy) and the very effective 'trompe l'oeil' mirror at the end of one path.

A successful garden design can only come from trust and confidence built up between designer and client. I will come and visit you in your home and discuss your specific needs with regard to the garden, your likes and dislikes, practicalities and the garden's aspect.
Services
A view from a bedroom window - in 2012 we decided to change our softwood decking to hardwood, it is gorgeous and worth every penny!
It changes to a reddy colour when it is wet.
I designed it with a fluid shape to show off the planting and to bring a contemporary feel - I love it!
I've chosen this photo because it just shows how brilliant plants are - 12 years ago when we moved here there wasn't a single plant in the garden - look at it now!
The garden looks to go on further because of a mirror which I've placed on the fence.
If you consider what makes a good interesting garden, in addition to a strong design, you will usually find it is the detail in the garden.
A bit like when my teenage daughter (bless her) borrows my best silver necklace because it perfectly complements her new outfit.
If you are considering installing a deck at the back of your house, run the deck boards at a 45 degree angle to the house.
This way they lead the eye out into the garden.
It is more fiddly to do, but well worth the trouble.
If you have a bench in the garden, paint it (white or blue work best) and complement it with planting to match.
Angie, thank you very much for transforming my garden.
It looks completely different and will be more manageable.
The garden is delightful and has already received a great deal of admiration and appreciation.
Hi Angie the garden looks fantastic, I am really pleased, and looking forward to seeing everything grow.
Thank you for a great job.
Hi Angie, I want to just show you how gorgeous our garden is 6 months on or so from all your hard work.
By creating new levels and steps the garden which was previously laid to a sloping lawn, now provides a flat lawn with plenty of space for entertaining and relaxing.
Raised beds provide a low maintenance option and bring height and interest to planting schemes.
Texture can come from planting schemes but the use of different hard landscaping materials can also provide texture.
