SCA landscapes take great pride in the way we work. Being both professional and knowledgeable, we try our hardest to go above and beyond satisfying our clients. This patio was constructed for our clients to sit and watch the day go by looking over rural Berkshire. The natural York stone is full of character with markings from years of use; no two slabs are the same.
The clients wanted to go with York stone for its rustic look which matched the existing paving on the property. When we got to this school, the area to be seeded was over grown and had no use. We excavated approximately 40 tons of wood chip and subsoil and then went on to reinstate using quality top soil. As the area to be seeded was mostly in the shade, we used a seed to fit that would grow very well in the shade.
The garden is on a steep incline and the client wanted usable areas. We created a 50m gravel area ready for the second stint where a green house and raised planters were placed. These walls have been constructed using Oak sleepers.
