Robert Gleaves and Sons Ltd is an independent local garden centre and building merchants based in Frodsham, Cheshire. We've been established 30+ years and are family run. We are much more than a typical garden centre with a wide range of products and other onsite businesses; our 'village people'! Make use of onsite free parking, toilets (including disabled facilities), baby change area, trolleys plus we are dog friendly with dogs welcome in the garden centre.

I've been asked to write a description of Robert Gleave's Home & Garden Centre for its website and have no idea how to concisely encompass all that it involves.
The original builders merchants company was established in 1890 (and no I wasn't around then).
It has been Frodsham based since the beginning.
In 1981 a man named Joe was working in the area, saw the company and had an idea that they could suit each other very well, so bought it from the retiring owner.
Then along came a small local garden centre for sale and Joe thought his trade could expand into a new venture with new challenges, products and ideas so he bought the run down little place, gave it the same TLC, expanded it and eventually combined the two companies together into one big venture becoming 'Gleave's Home & Garden Centre' on Mill Lane by the swing bridge in Frodsham.
